Marie Decraene is the most unconventional character amongst the artists we are working with. She is the creator and owner of “la Maison de la Plage”, an alternative store at Belleville. Marie, our little Queen of Belleville, is a friend of the squatters, taggers and members of independent street artists who express “differently”...

Marie’s work is based on generosity, on exchange, on communion with others. The concept of her work is the confrontations between modern technology and ancestral technique, hand and robot, human mind and artificial intelligence. That is what we adore in her work. She mixes digital designs mixed with a very texturized work, mixed with collages of various papers, painting as well as addition of gold leaves. Blend of influences, cross culture ... universal and accessible.

We met Marie one summer evening in front of her gallery at Belleville: A great love story started…

Fabienne’s designs offer a perfect balance of French style and Asian art that is modern yet timeless…

We loved Sophie Kao at first sight... her Thai origin, her elegance, her life as a painter, her constant reference to one of our most poetic books in French literature “les nourritures terrestres” , her reference to Organic..

We have always been great fans of Kenzo TAKADA since he opened his first showroom « Jungle Jap » at Passage Vivienne in the 70’s. At that time, he was a student, but already mastered the sense of colours, crazy textures and bold pattern associations.

It was such a great honour when Monsieur KENZO asked us to develop a part of his collections for Gokan Kobo and Kenzo Takada. The collections were actually created by the master at his own home, in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere and it was such a delightful moment to see Monsieur KENZO applying his expertise on porcelain and cloisonné….
